2007 gti 155 not winterized

I may go look at a project machine. 2007 gti 155. Unit wasn’t winterized last fall. Says it needs spark plugs and a battery. It’s cheap, but don’t know if it’s worth it. What’s potential issues I could visually see if something froze? I’ll check water in the oil, and compressions. Other than that???

Well, that's an 18 year old ski; so you'll be curious about the compression (good call). Where was the ski stored during the winter? Worst case is it was in freezing temps, there was water in the jet pump, and it froze, cracking the pump. Jet pumps, parts, and repairs aren't cheap. Don't buy it unless you can get it on the water.

Was it stored with a full tank of fuel? Fuel stabilizer added? If not, there might be some water in the fuel from condensation; will make it run like crap. Make sure you put 91/93 octane fuel in it; don't believe the owner's manual that says you can run 87.
