Quick story here leading to the question...

I had taken my 06 Seadoo RXP to the shop to have carbon ring kit installed and new impeller. Prior to this I had installed the newly refirbed SC (Thanks PWC Muscle) Got the ski back and took her out for a ride. The ski quickly began taking on water and discovered the carbon ring had not been replaced. Water in the engine also....

Once the engine was properly cleaned out I installed new carbon ring kit myself. Took her for a ride and about 45 minutes into the ride the engine had a heavy grinding sound which I thought may be from the SC. The engine is now locked up. Now the water is missing from the reservoir and in the crankcase.

Question, where can I pick up a refurbished engine for the 2006 Seadoo RXP 216C or send mine for rebuild??

As always, thanks for your input!

Just my thoughts but I would think the cost alone would be more than a good used 07 or 08. But if it's your baby I can understand, I would probably try to do the same.

There are a few companies that rebuild them. I would think you will be $3500 ish by the time you find a quality engine.
