2006 rxt starting issue

I have a 2006 rxt that after the key is attached, I get two long beeps, followed by three short beeps and no start. I replaced the DESS post and I have the same problem. Any ideas?

Probably, obviously, wasn't DESS post.. The beep code is for wrong key so it sees a key fine, just isn't the key programmed into the ECM. Either the key got butched or the ECM had a programming error screw up some stored info.

You will probably have to have a dealer reprogram your key to the machine, you may have to have the key replaced if it's what got damaged. The key is just a transponder chip but if it isn't transmitting its code completely or accurately when seated then it will show as someone elses key.

Thanks for your insight and I think you are right. The only thing that throws me off a little is that I tried the old trainer key and it did the same thing which makes me think it has something to do with the EMC. I will take to dealer and let them figure it out. Thanks again.
