2006 4Tec GTI glove box spring install

So, the spring for my glove box latch let go and I have a new spring to install. Just have to figure out how the spring actually goes in. I can get the spring installed but doesn't seem to work.

Any pics or diagrams?

I can get a picture of the 2007 spring when I go home tonight. Not sure if its the same. Maybe post a picture of yours so we can tell?

Sorry for the delay on this, was off boating for the long weekend. Here is a pic of my latch, still don't have the spring right. Sorry if the pic isn't clear, tough area to grab.
