just picked up the money for purchasing a 2005 seadoo rxt 215. it has 90 hours on it and the owner said he had a certified shop do the 100 hour supercharger maintenance last season. he said the guy he bought it from tried doing it himself and didnt do it right so when he bought it he had a certified seadoo mechanic rebuild it. how can i tell if it runs right when i test drive it tomorrow? anything i should look for or listen for when its running? i know nothing about them so any input would be great!! thank you

You would have to pull the supercharger off and check washers.. But it's an 08 and they upgraded the washers to metal in 08... So I really don't think there's a way to tell

And how did the previous owner not do the supercharger correct? The only Incorrect way I know is the charger blowing up and falling into the motor..

he said the previous owner started taking it apart and only putting back certain parts because he didnt know what he was doing. so the owner im buying it from took it right to the mechanic and they redid the old owners mistakes and did it correctly. dont know if he will go for pulling out the supercharger is there anything i can listen for when i riding it? i mean im assuming everything is ok or he would come up with an excuse for me not to test drive it. thanks for your responses i appreciate the help. im a total newbie to all this hahaha

now i didnt realize either that 2005 was the first year for the rxt should that be a concern also?

Supercharger aside the only other issue I can think if is the valves. Some have had issues with the valves failing and coming in contact with the pistons which is never a good thing.
