No ideas really. Sorry there just isn't enough information.
Is there a Mode button on your handlebar? If so, I believe you press it 5 times in a row to get the diagnostic code to show on screen, then you can Google the code for more info and/or post it here. You have to already have the check engine indicator lit though before that will work, I believe it clears itself out with every restart. Very strange that it shut down completely and didn't just go into "limp" mode though... I'm guessing the computer must think the problem is very serious in order to shut the system down completely like that.
How many hours are on this machine? Did you check the engine oil level and the coolant bottle level? When was the engine oil and filter last changed? When were the spark plugs last replaced? (4TEC engines eat spark plugs fairly fast apparently, I been bit on the butt by that myself just last Fall had me totally confused what had gone wrong was just failed plugs).
If in doubt, change everything (read how to change the oil 1st though... there are numerous posts about the best ways to change the 4TEC engine oil... or take it to a shop and have them do it).
ps. Engine oil and filter, and the spark plugs should be changed annually.... coolant system should be flushed and replaced with new coolant about every 3 years. Superchargers should be fully rebuilt every 100 hrs of operation. Again if you don't know for certain when this stuff was last done you should go ahead and do it or get it done.
