2005 RXP VTS error codes

I think I know the answer, but im throwing code P1690 and P1593 which are all VTS related.

1) is there anyway to unplug or disable VTS and get rid of the check engine light and codes (perfably with out a candoo?).
2) To get to the VTS cover to inspect if its full of water / rusted out, does anyone have a guide or instructions. Looks like when i remove the coolant bottle there is another plastic housing in the way, so i need to remove the whole plastic seat surrounding?

Any thing else i could check / try?

you need a program BUDS and diagnostics adapter MPI-3 + cable
