2005 GTX problem!!!

i have a 2005 gtx 155hp, it normally goes 60 or so on flat water... the other day i was out and it was flat as can be and it felt fast but it was only topping out at 48 and i was riding next to my buddy with a 2007 gti se 130hp what could be wrong?

Hey what was ur RPM at? I think the rev limiter is 7800...? It will say on the white sticker under the seat, below the right handlebar. Was it running smoothly? Did u check to see if theres any debris caught in the impeller or around the white wear ring? My 05 Wake GTX has lost 8MPH because the wear ring got scored up losing the vital tight clearance it needs. Id give her a good looking over, something may stand out.

it was at about 7500rpm matted down, and nothing was clonged but yes ill have to check the white ring, thanks for pointing that out i will let you know if i find something.

yeah, i have a 2008 gtx 155 and my top end speed was only about 50, but when i took the impeller out it turns out it had a stone stuck inbetween the blades. once i took out the stone she was good to go for about 61mph. Check your impeller dude

whats the easiest way to take the impeller out

You'd would be best taking out the whole block. take out the whole wear ring block
