2005 Gtx 4 Tec 215 going for forward to reverse gets stuck unless shut off

Ski fires up running problem.. going from forward to reverse it gets stuck and will not switch back until I shut the ski off. No
Issues with cable.. works perfectly with ski off.. seems like an idle issue? Any one have this issue?

Check your reverse cable NUT, they tend to break over time. It's a Plastic nut that's at the Jet Pump securing the cable to the hull.
