2005 GTI RFI not starting

Hey guys new here! We just bought today 2 2005 Sea-Doo GTI RFI’s. The dealer said they were winterized before we bought them but that they got them ready to go for us. They also stated that they started up on first fire. We took them to the lake today. We get in the water and one starts just fine and runs like a dream! The other wouldn’t start. So we pulled it out of the water got it to start put it back in the water it started. Got out of the no wake zone and my wife pushed the throttle down but it wouldn’t go. It was still running just had no thrust. We are new ski owners so not real sure what to look at. After we realized it wasn’t right we tried to get it back to the trailer and it died and we haven’t gotten it to start again. What would you guys recommend

Check compression first.

What’s the best way to do that? I was thinking it would be a spark or fuel issue.

Autozone loans compression testers.
It’s a good health check of the engine.

Thanks for the replies! It was a fouled plug! A much easier fix than I expected. And after doing some research found out it’s a quite common occurrence.
