I just got a seadoo sprtster 2004 LE DI. First time on the water I had this 2 sec bip and the protection got on the boat so I could not bring it up more thant 3000 RPM.

Itès sound almost every minut, I allready changes the temp sensor and it did not fix it.

I went to the dealer, the told me the problem was the fuel qty. Itès indicating full when the tank is at 3/4.

Dio anybody saw this problem ?

Can the fuel qty indicating problem put the boat in a safe mode ?

What and how should I test and repair it so I can have it for the summer season

all your help is appreciated

sorry for the english thti si not my fisrt language.

I have a 2005, and ran into that problem...but The low fuel wasn't the cause.. The dealer couldn't tell me what(for sure) was causing the problem, so I asked them to print out ALL the codes... Then I found that the voltage had been low several times.....I put in a new voltage regulator, and it fixed the problem....Hoope this helps.....

the dealer did mention about two hundred someting code of low battery but he told nothig about the voltage regulator.. The battery was not charged since the winternisation and it strat in a 1/4 of a turn, did you notice any low voltage problem like uneable to crank or start?

:hurray: Yesterday I removed the fuel level sensor, looks goo the resistance increase or decrease with the arm mooving. I look for a short in the wires between the connection ( Pink wires ) No 32 and No 33, no corrosion, No shorts. I look one by one all the fuses, nothing.... It was almost night so I decided with your advise to remove the battery and cha4rge it.

It was on charge for 12 HRS, this morning I did a run with the water hose no sound, no alamr everything is working.

I put for the third time this year the boat on water and went for a test ride.

No more problemes :) all my indications are working fine now, no more alarm and no more protection that kick in at any time.

So conclusion, after winternisation, you should ( event if the wires were disconnected ) charge your battery tu prevent chassing gost snag....

Thanks for your help.
