So I took the wife's ski out yesterday to give it a good run to see how it would do on the water. This is our first RFI ski. Of course it has the auto choke so it's hard to get out of the habit of wanting to give it fuel while starting it to get it to fire up. This model also has the auto choke feature. Anyway the ski idle's really low while in the water. Borderline wanting to cut off, what do I need to do to adjust the idle on this thing? I really havent messed with RFI models so what to see what ya'll think first before I go tooling around on the motor. It idles great on the hose but when it is under a load it doesnt. Wondering how easy it is to adjust it. Other than that the ski ran like a champ. It is ashame that the last owner didnt take care of it. All this ski needed was some TLC. This guy lived on the water and had a crap ton of money, bug house and nice cars. I guess when you get to be in his shoes you dont have to take care of stuff like this. You just buy new ones. :cuss:

On the RFI engines... the computer shuts off one cyl at idle. Also, the throttle body is preset. SO... you can't adjust anything on your own. If it's idling... and just feels rough, that's because it's running on one jug.

The only thing you can do, is to make sure the screen in the flame arrestor is clean.
