I have a 2004 rxp that doesn't have the mode button, set button and has the newer all digital dash with seems weird due to all the other ones I have seen having all of those and the older style neddle gauges. Trying to figure out why the exclamation sign is on.

My bet would be a charging issue...but you'd prolly have to ask the guy who swapped out the handlebars and dash.

pics?

I can't make out my schematics from my phone. Looks to be an OEM handle bar...dunno why you don't have a set button. Maybe others will chime in. Nice job on the boost gauge...whoever did it. Does it work?

I was going to say don't mind the horrible job they did to put it, I like the location which I will keep but make it look better and it sure does it peaks at around 9psi.

Okay...home computer allows for a better view heh...yeah...that install is a bit rough. You can get a new pad for lil. Thing now with a boost gauge...rrfr. Right now w/o an exic...you're prolly on the rich side...better than lean...but still.

Schematic for an '04 shows mode/set button on the harness....makes you wonder if that ain't an '03 or earlier ski's handle bars.

Uhm...another possibility...that gauge and handle bar might be from an '07 155 rxp....maybe. You "see" that vts move?

Yea its kind of weird that it doesn't have the set and mode buttons. When I get home tonight I will look to see if the harness has the wires for the buttons. I haven't looked to see if it moves but I will check tonight when I get home and report back.

I didn't understand the exic and the rich side comment.

ecic....external intercooler...as opposed to the oem intercooler located behind the throttle body.

Right now...the oem air intake is restricting the air that that xwheel can draw...limiting the air it can send to an also restrictive oem intercooler. ...with those 42#'rs...prolly keeping you on the rich side, ecu's reading the changes...but not makin as much power with a better air/fuel ratio. ...why I suggested a rising rate fuel regulator.

So you suggest to get rid of the stock intake ASAP and get a FPR? what about the intercooler? must go or not really worth it?

I suspect somebody has transplanted an 08 or newer engine and all electronics into your 04 hull. That gauge won't work without all the electronics included and is an integral part to the ECU unlike the 04 type. I'm guessing they told you it was 255hp engine so probably 08 or newer rxpx setup. These models don't have the mode and set button. I'm also guessing it is modded by the boost gauge but when the installs aren't top notch it worries me that the whole setup may not be done properly. Please supply pics of the motor and we'll tell you exactly what you have. The manufacture date of the motor will be on the front motor plate, hard to see but you can take a pic with your phone and read it.

I will when I get home tonight. I will probalbly pick up another rxp in a few days but that one has the buttons and older style dash.He said it was the stock motor but he upgraded the exhaust, supercharger and injectors, the boost gauge is hooked on the front of the intake manifold cooper looking nipple. The valve cover is all black, the few rxps I have seen are silver and yellow in color.

Now...don't misunderstand me here....it's not that your oem intake and ic "need" to be changed....it just that to get everything out of that wheel that it's capable of...you'll want the better intake...and exic. These chargers boost is volume....restrict that volume and you restrict the hp. can you take a pic of the wheel's blades while you're taking pics of the eng plate?

Here are the pictures, took about 20 total and these are the best I could get, I didn't get one of the green injectors. Could the stock 215 charger produce 9psi of boost?

No..it's like 7.

That looks like an xwheel.

I hope I didn't get messed up on a 215 wheel haha, he said he had the stock injectors and charger at home, he said if I wanted them so he will send them to me when he is done unpacking and stuff. Cant wait to get the impeller worked on, new plugs, oil and glass water lol. That thing is hard to stay on when going wide open when it shows 9 pound and a half on the gauge lol.
