Well I got curious, set my torque wrench to 50inch lbs, put a small crescent on it and using my thumb about 1 1/2” from the cog I could get it to click but it wasn’t easy. Just make sure you try to turn it counter clockwise. I would say if you can get it turn it’s below the spec of 44 - 88.
6 to 7.5 ft lbs closer to 7 is best anything below 6 and time to tighten things up by hand don't mean anything if you can move it by hand then it's to late test it the right way before it creates more problems
Could also be the wrong impeller, so many guys put in an aftermarket and actually lose speed. I would check the key , do a compression test , check the supercharger slip, look at the impeller/pump for problems.
Screw that I would take it out now and make sure.if the dealer winterized it a fast 10 min ride won't hurt oil and filter just refog it and reantifreeze it
Well first time out this year. Still same shit 6800rpm and 45-50mph. Besides supercharger any ideas? Throttle adjusted, compression good, new plugs all checked
Well I would pull the pump and check impellar make sure it's the correct one to check off the list.then I would run it without a seat and see if you hear anything out of the ordinarily then check to see if there is any water spraying around.make sure you hear the supercharger whistling a consistent tone
First of all thanks for all the input.
I took to local shop and he is at a loss as well. He said supercharger is tight. No engine codes. He water tested it seat off no indications. Runs ok .he said maybe timing . He also said that valve cover has sealant instead of just gasket so may have been an issue at one time. Supercharger is aftermarket. Oil is good compression is normal. I don't get it. He doesn't want to open engine up .
Sounds like you need someone better than the local shop. What does supercharger is tight mean? What is the slip? What does fuel injector spray pattern look like? Fuel pressure psi? Checked coils? Is it revving to 7700 on take off? Compression test results? What are the leak down results? Proper impeller and wear ring condition? Timing is not adjustable. It is constantly controlled by the ECU using the knock sensor and other sensor parameters.
