2004 GTX 185 - What is this hose and why is it disconnected??

I am having trouble getting the DESS system to recognize my key (at least, I think thats the problem). So I opened up the seats and removed the glovebox and I see this hanging on the right side.

Any ideas?

Have you found the problem yet, if you could find where the end of that hose go, could be the vent hose for battery or fuel line vent.
