2003 Seadoo GTX Supercharged

Hey guys , please help, last yr I purchased a 2003 GTX supercharged 185hp,with 108 hrs.. only had the learner key ... bought another key that was supposedly programmed as tge fast Key... ski with learner ran 38mph, tried the new dess key, it ran 40-41mph... had supercharger rebuilt, installed now it tops out at 32 mph, the engine sounds good idles good... I assumed the rebuilt SC was going to fix the problem... is there anything im missing or need to check ... is there a code reader that can diagnose the problem?? How do i know the new dess key was programmed correctly?

DESS has to be programed at dealer and they need the ski there. There is code reading kits you can buy but pretty pricey, not like the ELM327 stuff you can get for cars for $30 for sure. I assume S/C rebuilt at a SeaDoo dealer? If you weren't at 100hrs, just rebuilding the S/C was probably a waste of money but you know that now anyway and if it wasn't rebuilt correctly, a real waste of money. The S/C for a 185 is not the same as for a 215, mixing parts can cause issues for sure. Also incorrectly setting the clutch tension will cause the S/C to slip and higher RPM's and never attain max boost.

What rpm are you getting at top speed?

Does it go to 8000 on the way to top speed? or does it stay down around 7000 all the way there? You are low by about 1000 rpm, low rpm can be caused by not enough power or wrong impeller. Eliminate things like the plugs , old fuel etc. What do the plugs look like ?
