2003 gtx superchaged pulling skier

Yesterday I tried to pull a 180 lb skier with 150 lb spotter with me 220 lb driving. It is a 185 hp gtx. well, it did mot work. seemed like the impeller was cavitating or something because sis not have enough thrust. impeller speeding up just did not sound right. An I asking too much? or something is wrong with impeller? Thanks

Yes it is supercharged 4-tec 185 hp. No problem driving with 3 people and going over 40 mph. Seems like just for initial thrust, it is cavitating. Maybe the impeller is damaged? any insights.

did you check the impeller wear ring and the intake grate? You also need to take the air pipe going into the sc and see if you can turn the impeller on it. [with eng. off of course. that would be the easy check , if you can turn it needs to be removed and rebuilt as soon as possible.
