2003 GTX 4tec LCD Gauge removal

Hey Folks,

I have an LCD gauge that died because some moisture got into it. I need to remove it but I am not sure how to go about doing this. I open the front and removed pretty much all the screws at the top. I didnt remove the screws attaching it to the seadoo though. So I slide it? Can I pry it out from the outside? Any help would be appreciated. VIDEO WOULD BE AWESOME!!

Call place in Florida. They will rebuild for 250 and guarantee. They can probably help you get it off too. Found them on eBay. Mine died while at the shop.

Yeah... That is exactly where I am sending it but they asked me to remove it and send it to them. I'll give em a call and see if they can talk me thru it.

If it's like my 05 the gauge is held in by a rubber grommet, grasp the edges on one side with your fingers and pull straight out.

Yep... I grasped the sides and with some soapy water and some elbow grease it popped right out! Thanks everyone! I pulled it out and sent it to Performance Design yesterday!

I sent it to performance design.... It was returned quickly. I sent it and it was returned promptly. I was very very happy!!!

That's great! Have you given it a good "water test" yet...?

Yes... and it looks good and works better! I havent capsized it but it has had its fair share of water....

That's great. I goofed around repairing one of mine with silicone but it hasn't had a great water test yet (it's the wife's machine...). That's great to know $250 USD is a lot better than $750 USD for a new one..
