Just a quick question for anyone who can help. I had issues with this ski last weekend with major bog at WOT. Rebuilt single carb and compression came in at 126 mag and 122 pto. I knew it was only a matter of time but it blew the crank after running pretty well for a half hour. The question is SBT or Rebuild? I put an SBT in my 97 XP but that was a couple of years ago. I would go with the SBT rebuilt, simply because I would want to be back in the water ASAP. I noticed that you have 3 ski's so maybe that's not so important to you.
If you are leary about SBT there are other engine rebuilders. Personally I think SBT is O.K., you'll always find dissatisified customers with any rebuilder.
