Well, about a year ago I joined the ranks of having my 2002 RXDI engine seize up. It still runs until it warms up then it won't turn over. Get it back to the house, it starts up and I am able to flush it.
The shop says I need a new engine because one of the valves is sticking and heating up the block causing the engine to choke itself out.

I have read a few posts but none that described quite the same problem. RXDI (R)Really (X)eXpensive (R) Regretful (I) Idea

Not seized!

You have a problem, but its not seized. The inly valves you have are the reed block, which are fairly simple to pull and repair or replace.

The 951 DI motor has had its share of bad publicity....and I see, you already know why.

You need to do a compression check on the cylinders to see that you got a good motor to work with, then, you can decide whether or not its worth your time and money to mess with.
