2002 rx di info gauge

I have a 2002 rx di I'm having problems with the info gauge not going off until I pull the fuse from mpem. I took it out last weekend and it was fine for about 2hrs then when I pulled the key gauge stayed on for a good 10mins before I finally pulled the fuse. And 12volt low light came on.

The problem is probably not your gauge, it most likely is your DESS post. It has a magnetic switch in it that gets stuck. Here are some tests to confirm. Try tapping it or unplugging it to see if the gauge turns off. Pull the lanyard off while running, does it stay running? If you put your key back on while the gauge is on but not running, what does it do? When you put the fuse back in, what does it do?

I tried tapping and unplugging dess post still has power to both guages and trim button. It did not stay running when key was pulled.

Found out the problem it's the mpem bad. It had a 7.5 amp fuse in acc. Supposed to have a 2 amp in it guess that fried it.
