2002 gtx di rebuild

2002 gtx di have some compression issues one cylinder is 110psi and the other is 30psi so looking like rebuild time. My question is can I do the top end without pulling the motor or am I gonna have to pull the whole motor. Any tips would be appreciated

You should always do the crank and balancer on a 951, not just a top end.

are they known for bad crank and balances or is it just a good idea since I'm in there? May as well

Any recommendations on where to order a rebuild kit?

The 951 is known to blow cranks when doing just a top end. The life is about 200 hours. I only buy OEM cranks and get them from Pro Caliber out of Washington. I buy the OEM bearings and seals for the balancer and press them myself but any machine shop will be able to do it.
