To begin with, the skiis (I have 2 identical GTX Di's, one with 88hrs, other with 74hrs) were serviced by an authorized sea-doo dealer approx. 4 years ago, batteries removed, everything oiled/lubed, and put into storage. After installing brand new batteries & connecting the lanyard, I hear the fuel pump prime. When I hit the start button, all I hear is the fuel pump again. No solenoid click, no starter, nadda.
There is a red flashing light on the dash and the readout alternates between FUEL-LO & MAINT. There is no beep at all when I connect the lanyard as well I tried the "reset" of the MAINT light by holding down MODE & SET buttons with no luck there either, although at one point the red light went away and the word ENGLISH came up, then promptly went away. After resetting the lanyard, it went right back to the red light blinking.
I have the correct voltage at the hot post of the solenoid, and when I use a power probe to spark the starter, the starter will actually spin, but not turn over the motor... Almost like there isn't enough juice to move the bendix. Fuse in the box next to the solenoid is good.
The odd thing is, both skiis are doing the exact same thing!!
