I have a restored 2002 GTX DI that hasn't been ridden much at all in the last year. Ski starts right up, has maybe 5 hours on the engine. I found a leaking Water Control Valve and the raves were starting to lift as I revved the engine on the trailer in the driveway. I plan on removing the raves, cleaning and testing. I'll test them first on the ski with my handy dandy hand pump.
The ski rived up to 6700 for me so I didn't think much of it other than it needed to loosen up and the fuel might not have the proper punch.
I don't have the ski on the premises but I'm planning ahead. I could still have water control valve issues or water flow issues but when I tested the ski everything was cool, idle is great, no stuttering and it has the get up and go like normal. Battery is hot. I have a Candoo but generally issues are solved by good old fashioned troubleshooting. Fortunately for me, I have (2) running DI's in the yard to compare.
Any thoughts from the DI gurus or just in general?
