Alright have a question about my 02 gtx. Doesnt want to idle correctly and when I put throttle to it, she wont go about 3500 RPMS. I thought it might be the fuel filter, but I decided to run a compression test. I rented a tester, un hooked the plug wires and took the plugs out. Im not sure which cylinder is which. If you are standing on the left side of the ski looking into the engine compartment it is the cylinder on the left. I tested it first and the needle on the gauge didnt even move. Tried 3 or 4 times and still nothing. I hooked it up to the cylinder on the right and it ran up to about 60. I did it 3 times and all around 60. Am I doing the test wrong or does it sound like my motor is completly screwed?? Any help appreciated!

Once it started acting up last year, it sat until I pulled it out 3 days ago. I syphered all the gas and oil, replaced it with fresh gas and added some octane booster. Replaced the oil with sea doo oil. Havnt changed the plugs tho. But what would cause the gauge to not read on the first cylinder?

60 is low, make sure you are holding the throttle wide open and keep cranking till the gauge doesnt go up anymore

Ya thats what I was doing. I dont need to disconnect anything else do I? I disconnected the plug wire and took out the plugs... do I need to do anything else?

Also idk if this will help or not. Last year when riding everything was running fine. Then it would start spitting and sputtering real bad and shut off. Let it sit and it would run fine and then start doing it again and shut off. It was the end of the year so I didnt mess with it. This is what made me think it was the fuel filter.

I put her in the water for the first time today after doing all of the above(this was before the compression test) and she wouldnt get above 3400-3500 rpms.
