2002 GTX 4 TEC Running Problems

I have a problem with my 2002 GTX 4 tec. It runs at idle but when you give it throttle it don't have much. The over head display don't come on at all. When i put it in the water it don't go over 5 MPH. It starts right up but don't have much power. Plugs are fine and compression is great but i don't get it. Could it be the fuel filter or something? I'm clueless. Someone please. Thanks.

Sounds like the ski is in "LIMP MODE". You'll need the gauge working in order to retrieve a code. Check all of your fuses. Without the gauge you'll probably need to take it to a dealer. Check all of the connections to the sensors and fuel injectors.

I heard that they had a limp mode. Is there anyway to by pass that? I took my volt meter and checked everything out and i have juice. All the fuses were good and all connections were good. I thought it could have been a fuel issue but it has plenty of it. But it won't go any faster than 6MPH. My hand held GPS told me that. But i have power going to the gauges according to my volt meter.
