This is my first Seadoo and I am learning the hard way. It only has 40 hours and I hope I did not permantly damage the internals.
Summary
My son was driving it in a weedy and returned it to the dock. He did not report any problems however, wHen my other son went to crank it -it did not crank. Sounded like a very rough grinding crank -then stop. Hold start button in- nothing-turns over twice rough sounding -stops -never seeming to fire. Definately not a steady crank smooth crank. I pulled it out of the water and hooked the hose up and tried to crank it-mistake. I removed the plugs-yes water in the cylinder heads. I blew it out as best I could and reinstalled the plugs. No start
WIth the plugs out it continues to turn over much easier.
Oil was clear- now a somewhat milky color. Should I replace the oil before I try to start it again?
The fuel blowing out of the cylinder heads seems watery --not pure fuel. Should I drain all the fuel?
I did replace the plugs and got the majority of the water out of the head by turning it over and vacuuming it out.
I thought about the starter going out that's why it is not turning over smooth.
I have not done a compression test on the cylinders becuase I have to find an adapter to fit in the smaller hole. I will today.
How much pressure am I supposed to have in each cylinder?
I'm not sure what to do now. I do not have the money to take it to a Seadoo dealer.
I was hoping to take the boys tubing this weekend since we were not able to last weekend due the above problems.
Thank you in advance for any help/advice
