2002 4 tec lcd display dead

display died. ordered new one after taking old one apart, finding water damage. installed new one, got display for a split second then died. help

sounds like a possible short, check the connectors and wiring, also find out what to check on the connector and use a volt meter to check for the proper voltage readings on each pin.
