I have a 2002 4 Tec with what I think is an cavitation/impeller issue. It's reaching a top speed of about 40 mph. Here are some pictures of the impeller. It appears to be out of tolerance but I'm not sure. I’m a boat guy so the best way I can describe the hole shot is close to the feeling of blowing out a prop, and then it catches. Once it catches, it accelerates ok but like I said will only reach about 40. Think it’s all impeller?

Impeller looks new to me! Just replace wear ring and you are sorted as clearance looks too big.

I have the same ski as you. Looks to me that a wear ring replacement is in your future. Mine did the same thing and we replaced the ring and all was back to normal. I am still looking for a metal pump for mine. The 2002 well at least mine has a part metal part plastic pump. These pumps tend to flex causing the wear ring to be chewed a little bit. Its a better pump then what came on my 2006 GTX Wake model that was all plastic and it flexed like crazy. I was able to find a good used metal pump and put a new wear ring in and the slippage is all gone now.
