When I place the lanyard on dess post I get the 2 short beeps...good so far. When I press and hold the start button all that happens is short beeps but engine will not roll over. Neutral switch is good, soleniod is good ,battery is good, fuses are all good.
Advanced diagnostics says 2 short beeps which says computer not reading the key? Could this be the post or lanyard?
I soon need to winterize the boat but can't get it to start!!
Any help would be wonderful. Thanks HH5

951cc Upon further trouble shooting I found that the lights, stereo, bilge pump, engine compartment fan and stereo do not work.Only 8.4 volts to lights. Grounds are good only 8.4v on positive side. Appears they all go back to the MPEM.All fuses are good. Will have to look closer at the wiring in and out of the MPEM. Thanks E.T.

Make sure your battery is 100% good. Have it load tested at a auto part store...most do it for free.

Found a 30 amp fuse in the coil box that feeds the MPEM. The fuse holder was full of water...replaced flooded fuse....12.47 volts all around.
Two pumps on the gas...hit the start button and "livin the dream" !! Thanks Seadoobuddy.

Harley, was that fuse you found #63 in this diagram? It calls for a 15 amp....not a 30. Just FYI....
