Hello folks bought an XP 951 that I shouldn't have. Some of the lines were melted due to a backfire. One lines being on the non intake side of the engine theres a barb fitting and the hose was melted off not sure where the other end goes as it was unhooked I have the cooling line diagram but it's very vague. I'm hoping someone knows where it goes. Also the 2 vacuum ports for the fuel pump melted off and might need help with where they used to go? Any help is greatly appreciated

So...did the lines melt due to a "backfire",,,or a fire in the hull?..a bit confused here,,the barbed fitting in your first pic, is the cylinder drain line,

What I was told was it backfired the guy gave me melted air intake ducts so melted they dripped. I would call it more of a small fire after digging into it more. The fuel lines are melted and that cylinder drain line was melted. I dont know what would've caused any of that unless the exhaust pipe got excessively hot. I think I figured out where the cylinder drain line exits out the rear. Are the two ports on my 2nd picture where the pulse lines used to go?

Sounds like someone is lucky to be alive!,,,Faulty wiring, a short, an over heated motor, due to poor cooling,,,will not melt anything,,,other than a rav valve,,,an exhaust coupler/hose,,,or seize the motor,,,that kind of heat comes from an electrical fire usually.
I would start from scratch.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not one to give up on projects. I'm sure I'll figure it all out .I was just looking for where hoses would go in the two photos posted.

In The second photo,,,the fitting to the left, to the front of the motor, is the pulse line for the fuel pump of your carb,,,the fitting to the right is the pulse line thru a one way check valve that operates your rav valves.

Looks like seadoo doesn't offer the one way check valve anymore. I have the one way check valve off the oil tank. Wondering if anyone thinks that will work?
