I have an 01 seadoo GTX 951. One of the cylinders has compression of 135PSI and the other is at 120PSI. I assume it is time for a top end? but what will this thing run like with this kind of compression. Could it still preform close to "normal" for a stock 951? Could i still see the expected RPM's? 6750-7000?

Any input is appreciated. This ski is actually my dads friend and i just did an overhaul on the fuel system, carbs, and jet pump but I decided before i take it out for a test i would check the compression. Kinda bummed the compression isn't 135PSI in each cylinder because I wanted to bring back a good running ski but just curious what i will see with compression being lopsided like that.

Thanks

PS. Compression was check with snap on gauge and WOT.

With 15 psi difference you have a cylinder on it's way out. If they were both 120 I would say run it.

I think 135 PSI is stock compression for the 951. Def have a cylinder going down.

Better to rebuild now before real damage is done.
