The flywheel has stripped the teeth off of itself and the crankshaft on my Mercury M2 Jet Drive in my 01 Islandia. Has anyone else ever seen this happen?

That's not Un-common on any engine. That's normally cased by the starter hanging, or someone hits the starter when the engine is running.

Sorry I shouldn't have said "teeth". It was the inner splines that hold the flywheel to the crank that stripped out. Sorry for the wrong wordage.
