Long time lurker here, finally made an account after I couldn't find info on my issue.
Got a 2001 GTX DI, was out riding without problem and suddenly the engine shut off. Pulled the key off the post and put it back on, started up for a few seconds then died again. Tried one more time and it gives the "MAINT" message without a beep. After towing back to shore and checking it out in my driveway, I managed to get it to beep twice and fuel pump runs but still no start! As I press start, the fuel pump runs and the red maintenance light comes on and says "MAINT" on the info gauge. I am able to clear the message by holding "SET" but it comes back if I press start again.
Any ideas appreciated!
