Just picked up a 2001 Bombardier GTI.
717/718 engine. Mikuni Carb.
At WOT it will intermittently act like it is in LIMP mode, Will get Moderate engine speed and acceleration.
Intermittently the engine will kick up to top speed and fly across the lake. Sometimes it will do this on it's own at WOT, sometimes letting go of the throttle and engaging again will kick it up to high speeds.
Is the a likely a voltage regulator issue?
I know the GTI does not have RAVE or Limp mode, so I am unsure about what to check.
