Just wondering if anyone could tell me how a motor stills run wide open (on land) and not stop running even after i pull the teather and as crazy as it sounds even the plug wires and the prick continued to run wide open, only shutting down due to no fuel.

If anyone could please explain this to me, because im completely baffled along with all my other buddies. I'm no mechanic but when something doesn't have a spark it shouldn't ignite ,along with pulling the kill switch.

Any thoughts?

Hey Big,
You are sucking air somewhere. Look around the base of the carbs ... something has come loose or cracked or something, but the bottom line is you are pulling air.

Have worked, or had work done on your ski recently?

If that happens again just pull the choke and it will shut off.

Thanks alot for the input, i'm gonna got check things out tomorrow, and hopefully find the prob. If you can think of anything else it would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers have a great weekend.

I'm not sure I see how that would cause an engine to diesel?

Hey Stud,
Understand this...I would not give my opinion, or any kind of advice if I were not sure. I am sure because the EXACT same thing happened to one of my skis. It was leaking air around a faulty carb base gasket.

But don't take my word for it, ask an expert. PM KustomKarl and timmyboy. They helped me.
