2000 sea doo gtx - oil check valve?

Is there supposed to be a tube connected to this? Is this where the oil gets syphoned from? I just bought this to refurb it and there was a good amount of 2 stroke oil mixed with some water in the hull.

I might be overstepping my place here since I know the 1988 to 1994 range, newer I did not get a lot of hands on. But are you talking about the check valve in the background attached to the top of the oil tank? If so I would say that looks identical to my 97 gtx, so I would say no tube gets connected to it. The grommets for the oil tank fittings can leak oil into the hull as well as any other connections. Since you are doing a refurbish you will get a chance to inspect all of these areas.

I use this site a lot to get part numbers and see the "microfiche" (as we used to say) to see the factory diagrams.

None of the 8 gtx models show any tube attached to that part.

It worked out great. Used some ice maker polyethylene tubing, lit it on fire and melted it in. Doesn’t leak (there) anymore. We will see what happens as I run it if it’s leaking somewhere else
