I removed the old oil that smelled really bad
Is this stuff okay to put into the hole and do I need to pump pressure into it?
Thanks

Why would you put the old oil back in?

Use either seadoo pump oil, KLots jet pump oil or Mobile 1 synthetic gear oil.

If my old oil was not milky I don’t pressure test them.

Sorry, I thought I attached a picture...
I was referring to the KLOTZ synthetic jet pump lubricant.

Make sure you use a new o-ring on the pump cone, I also use a little 518 sealant on it and the reduction nozzle like the factory did. If you pulled the impeller make damn sure you don’t pinch the thrust washer. Make sure the driveshaft has it’s rubber bumpers on both ends and lube the splines.

Yes, it's a pressed shell roller bearing setup and can get caught in the shaft oil groove.

The way I do it is to have the shaft clamped in the vise, then install the thrust bearing on the shaft then the flat washer on the shaft then lower the entire pump over the shaft, this way the bearing and washer can't get caught off center in the oil groove and get crushed. Don't take the shaft out of the vise or flip it over until the impeller is torqued back on.

What weight of Mobile 1 synthetic gear oil. I have two skis to get ready a don't want to wait for online ordering.
