So I purchased this ski last fall (2008) and never took it in the water. I got it professionally winterized and in the spring de-winterized. I'm not sure how old the battery is but it was on a trickle charger the entire winter(reading in the green fully charged). I stored the ski indoors(not heated).

So I got it on the lake with a buddy for the first time. I dropped it in and it fired right up on the first click. I ran it to the marina filled up with regular gas(took about 10 mins). Shut it off for a minute and then it was a little harder to start (took maybe 3 times to press the button and hitting the throttle).

Then I drove it out of the marina and up to about 40 mph, not full speed, it seemed to be running well no engine issues while in operation. I was driving it for 10 mins, I went to drop my friend off at the beach and when I went to turn it over it didn't make a single noise, tried multiple times, waited to see if I flooded it, nothing.

It just seems weird it was running completely fine and then I shut it off and it wouldn't turn over 30 seconds after its running. I had to get towed back.

Any advice? There are new spark plugs on it, gas full, oil full. Is there a fuse panel?

Im so bummed out because I couldn't wait all winter to take it out for the first time.

Thanks!

BTW....i filled up the entire hull/engine with water in the first 15 mins because I forgot to tighten the drain plugs...rookie mistake. :)

But I got it on the trailer to drain it immediately. The ski started after this disaster and I ran it for 10 mins, up to 40 mph.

Aside from connections to battery, where else would I check? I hooked up a voltmeter to the battery and it said 12V (does that mean its fully charged?).

Also, if I where to change the fuse what size fuse do I need?

Thanks!
