2000 Seadoo GTI, no spark

I have a 2000 Seadoo GTI with a 717, 720 engine with carb. I have lost spark. The ski beeps and the gauges (fuel and oil light) do come on.

I have done the following...
1. Replaced the coil with no results.
2. Tested female ends of the wires connecting to the coils. Manual says it should be 12vdc. (at zero)
3. checked all fuses and connections.
4. Have good ground on the coil, and battery is fresh.
5. inspected the plugin at the MPEM. All looks good.
6. Pulled the flywheel and checked the wires. No metal, just some dust

I thought I could do a reading without the pigtail but now I believe it is the Generating coil that is bad. Am I on the right track? I cannot find anything else that would cause the spark to go away that I haven't already looked at.

Manual says, " Before conducting any testing on the ignition coil, make sure there is at least 12 Vdc at the primary wires. If there is insufficient voltage, the ignition problem is occurring before the ignition coil"
I am assuming the primary wires are the ground and white wire at the bottom of the coil. I cannot get a voltage read off of those wires. So I needed to work up stream from there. I believe I have checked everything except the Rectifier. Would a bad rectifier cause the spark to go away?
Also,
I changed the MPEM with a universal one (No need to code) no change and sending it back.

Thank you in advance for your help.
