1st off thanks for all the help that I have been getting from this sight. I have changed the Grey Fuel lines and the selector was clogged up very badly. All that is clean now. The only thing I have not cleaned is the carb filter. I have to be honest when I say not sure where to locate it on the carb........ Do I need to take the carb off to clean that filter? Exactly where is it located at on the carb?? Any help would be great. Thanks in advance, Dale.

where the inlet fuel fitting is, thats where the filter is located. Dont think you need to remove carb, if its on the side mounted, but would not be bad idea, clean the passages, that crap is in the n/s assy as well..where the needle is.

Thanks guys. I took it off tonight and cleaned it and the filter was crazy nasty. It took a while to clean up but looks good now. I hope it runs out good now. Thanks for all the help, Dale.

It is fascinating to think a motor would run with all that goop in there, I have done a few for freinds and now we know the way to avoid the leanout feeling - you saved yourself a lot of piston problems.

Yea I could not believe all that was in there.......The 1st time I took it out this year (which was my 1st ride on it) it ran 55mph according to the speedometer........I was thinking last night that it has to run a little faster then that now?? Not sure but glad I did clean the filter......How often should I clean that filter?
