had a mechanic tell me that one of the Soleniod valves is only firing at 35% does this mean the engine needs to be rebuilt or is is something that needs to be cleaned?

Hi, and welcome to the forum. I honestly don't know what he's talking about. Never heard of a solenoid valve. The only solenoid, that I know of is in the starter circuit.

Could it be something with the fuel injection? I'm afraid the my knowledge is somewhat lacking when it comes to fuel injection systems on SeaDoo's. Call your mechanic and ask him to elaborate. I guess a fuel injector could be considered a solenoid valve.

Ask if he's talking about the RAVE valves? There's two on the engine and they control your exhaust timming at different rpm levels. thats my guess, otherwise I dont have a clue what he might be referring to.

Thanks I don't know either; he might be refering to the piston or cylinders, but it is not with this mechanic any longer. I have an appointment with another one next week I'll let you know.

Good idea...That mechanic sound like hes full of BS...I hope you did not have to pay for that diagnosis!
