Is this mod really worth it on a 2008 RXT? They claim 1-2 mph gain which sounds a little optimistic to me. Other mods I have include a 5" intake, free flow exhaust, Solas 14/17R impeller, Riva top loader grate and ride plate bolt holes filled in.

You ain't gonna see no 1-2mph gain. Maybe 1/2mph.

Curious here though...what kinda r's are you seeing now? post a pic of your air, please?

I have 4 items to add to my RXT-X as soon as winter in Ohio breaks. One of which is a 2.5 degree wedge.

I will put each piece on separately and then do a performance and speed test.

Impeller, wedge, intake grate, and four inch intake. In that order.

I wasn't expecting that at all out of it. 2* isn't all that much to make a huge difference.

Intake is 4" not 5". I fat fingered it. It's just a 90* off the SC turned up. All the above mods minus exhaust and intake grate I see about 8160-8200 depending on air temp and GPS says 69.7

Pretty good number, KK.

While the wedge won't make drastic improvement on your top speed numbers...it will make a huge difference in the "attitude" and handling of your boat.....at slow speeds even. But wot in the chop....curious how you'll like it.

I may just pick one up. Even if it trims up the nose a tad helps out in chop. For $75 I can't go wrong

I'm eager as well. Half totes to put it all on at once ,,,,

But I won't as I really want to see what carries a good value and help others with solid info.

I went with the 2.5 as I have the VTS system on my ski and I can always adjust it for less angle.

Intake and impeller will be the most noticeable that's for sure. I did that and gained 4mph

I would thinks so as well. But I do want to do intake desperately as I want to KNOW exactly the gain (or loss) due to the grate alone. I am pretty confident the pellet will add.

Grate is an unknown,,,

Forgot to mention.

I also got the steering extension to ensure I have no steerage issues due to adding the wedge.

Hot engine air. However on my 69.x mph run I didn't have the rear seat on at all so fresh air was plenty. I gotta figure out a way to vent it and keep my tray with small odds and ends in there

To make up for the loss of the rear bucket's minimal storage...I bought a GTX's front bucket insert....much bigger than the rear and a better use of space when compared to just the big empty cavernous front storage bin.

Wait where does that compartment go? I have something similar to it under my rear seat.

Those pics I posted, show the venting in the under side of my rear seat and my 5" intake punching through my rear bin.

Item #40 on the link I posted goes in the front storage. I use one for an '05 ltd...falls right into place...easy access while on the water.

Oh ok. Yea I see the vents. I was focused on the took kit and strap. I was thinking mine is the same way and didn't really see the point of that picture. My blonde moment of the day lol
