2 pc oil tank welded solid w/ enhancements - thoughts?

In the process of refreshing a 1998 gtx rfi I ran into the 2pc oil tank split at the seam issue. During my research reading about split tanks on many forums there is also apparently a leaky grommet issue with the new upper and lower grommets. As the oil system is a critical part of the ski, I decided to weld the tank solid and add a few enhancements to help hold down the upper sensor and lower feed fittings. I can imagine how the new grommets would leak with heavy oil filled hoses hooked to them and constantly bouncing around.

Any thoughts or ideas for improvement?

Make the whole thing out of 1 piece of stainless steel.

The grommets leak because the rubber deteriorates over time and need to be replaced. I have had many leak but none pop out.
