Ok so I did something completely stupid I accidentally hooked the battery cables up backwards there was a little spark & that was it after I realized what I did I hooked them up the right way. Obviously I blew some fuses I checked them all under the drivers side compartment & the only one that was blown was the one for the stereo... When I connect the lanyard I get nothing no beeps & neither engine will crank (98 challenger 1800) what else could be the problem..? My lanyards are finicky @ best I have to twist pull them off many times to get them to connect properly & most of the time never get a beep @ all but still starts..
Thanks all !!

you roasted a very expensive, and hard to find MPEM. Sorry.

BUT... open the gray box in the engine compartment, and see if you can find any other fuses that may have given up.

Yeah thats what I figured but didnt want to accept the answer grrrrrrr I'll go check out the MPEM fuses
Thanks man

You the man the 5amp fuse was blown inside the MPEM & now both engines will crank over woohoo !
Now to bring'er to the launch & get'er tuned in !
Thanks Bro !

Connecting the battery backwards doesn't convert a Seadoo into a chick magnet! :) Also check to make sure the battery is being charged, system voltage while running should be just under 14 volts. Mine runs around 13.8, for example.

You got VERY LUCKY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There was only a 10% chance of that coming back to life, since the fuse normally doesn't blow before the MPEM.

So... lesson learned. Take the extra 30 seconds next time, and make sure the cables are right.
