My Left engine starter button seems to not be making good electrical contact and with a bit of jiggling I can get it to start the engine. Needs replacing I figure.

Where is a good source for these start/stop buttons?

Also, when I plug in the DESS key I do NOT get any beeps.

I believe I should be getting 2 beeps, but the motors start up fine in any case.

I have a PWC Seadoo GSX Limited that does the same thing.

Any ideas on what the cause might be, and the fix?

Thanks

Ray

Hey Ray, it might be a bad beeper that is causing the silence. We have beepers on the "parts" site to purchase if that is the problem.

I read somehwere here to clean the DESS plug and try again.

It sure looked very clean to me but after using some alcohol and an old toothbrush to clean the DESS plug out, sure enough
it works now.

Must be nearly invisible gunk in there but it worked.

Still need to replace the one start switch and I sure dont feel like paying $80 for a Seadoo pair so I'll pick something more economical elsewhere.

It looks like a simple momentary ON contact switch probably no more than $10 for a high quality waterproof switch.

Anyone know how many 1999 Speedster SK were built by Seadoo?
