1999 SeaDoo XP Limited RPM Problems.

Im new to this forum and i would be very thankful if i could get some feed back on my issue. I just bought a 1999 XP and it ran great when i test ran it before i bought it. Yesterday i took it to the lake and it ran great for the first few hours, but started dropping rpm's to about 5000-6000. It seem to do it worst when i was coming out of the water on waves. I took it to the dock and set for a while, and when i took it back out it seems to run good for a few minutes and starts back to dropping rpm's. I didnt roll it, but it did seems to have a very little bit of water in the engine compartment. Any help would be great.
