Pulled the engine on the 1999 GTX RFI glad I did as I can be much more thorough. Since it had a valve on the Rotary Valve oil feed like I wanted to check for a internal seal leak on the crank. I was getting a pressure drop 2 pounds or so in 8 minutes. So I cleaned the casing really good and filled the rotary valve section with oil. Still no oil internally but a pressure drop same amount so I added some pressure. I noticed a small amount of oil on the rotary valve surface so I decided to check with some soap bubbles. Bingo... and enough to account for the pressure drop so the inner seals are probably good. Crank feels really good. The rings were stuck. Had 80 pounds on one cylinder and 30psi on the other.
