ok ihave my ski on the hose after the lake. it starts over reviing to about 7000 no water comong out of the lil water hole just the back,so i pull the key off it is still riunning won't shutoff so i pull the spark plug wires it's still running i'm likie what the hell thenI hit the gas throttle it down and it finally shuts off i'm scared to take it back out can anyone help me?

sounds like a lean runaway. turn off the fuel and pull the choke to kill the engine

Was the engine just run? was it hot?

NEVER fire these up hot or after a run... wait a few hours. (on trailer, no load).

If the 951 engine is hot, ONLY fire them up in the WATER.

Mine did the same thing a few weeks ago... then needed rebuilt twice. (first top end, then the crank went a week later)

i even pulled the spark plug WIRES on mine and it still ran 7k!

most likely, like me, you now have a ruined engine.

it was running 7k with little oil as you were not on the throttle, and not enough cooling...

check the compression....
