Hey there, just got my first jet ski off of Craigslist last week, it is a 1998 Seadoo GTS.

It was running fine the first day and ever since after that, the ski is bogging down anytime I push it past half throttle.

It will bog down, then start spurts and lunges forward aggressively going full throttle every 3 seconds or so.

I am aware of the gray fuel lines which may be causing this, and I have already went to Autozone and purchased 16 feet of FI fuel line to replace the gray ones with tonight. I don’t think it will fix this issue though.

I am curious and need insight as to what could be causing this. Any idea?

So far I am thinking:
carb filters need to be cleaned
carb rebuild?
possibly the gray fuel lines?
???

If it has grey fuel lines they need to be replaced since they break down and clog the carbs. At the same time clean and rebuild your carbs with genuine mikuni kit. Replace the selector valve with an OEM one and clean strainer and replace its o-ring. While you have the carbs off if the oil injection system is still hooked up inspect the 2 oil injection lines. If they look suspect or old I would replace them as well.

Yeah I knew the grey fuel lines had to go and was curious about the carbs. Ill start on all of this tomorrow and update. Thank you!

Took the ski out today and towards the end of the ride it would barely run.

I wouldn't run it anymore until you get the above items done. You risk damaging the engine due to fuel issues from everything I have read so far.
